About DSA Elementary School

Dear Parents and Guardians, 

I hope you are having a wonderful time and enjoying summer break!! I would like to welcome you back for the 2021-2022 school year.  I am looking forward to meeting and seeing all of our new and returning scholars on July 29th.  I am enthusiastic about continuing as our Elementary School Principal and working with our wonderful Desert Star staff.

Please come and enjoy our Open House on July 28 from 6:00pm-7:00pm for Elementary and Middle School. This is a great time to meet your new teachers and share information that will help your scholar to have a successful year. Parent’s are the scholars first educator and I believe if we work together it will help your scholar to strive for success!

Elementary School hours are from 8:00am-3:30pm with drop-off being no earlier than 7:30am on the elementary playground. Pledge will begin at 7:50am. If you are unable to pickup your scholar at 3:30pm, we offer after school care.  It is offered in the Multipurpose Room closest the Hwy 95 (Drop Zone). After school hours are from 3:30-6 for Kindergarten through 5th Grade only. Each scholar attending will be charged a $5 fee. The after school program will run Mon-Thursday.  For parents and guardians who have middle school scholars,  the Middle School hours will be from 7:30am-3:45pm.  Drop off hours no earlier than 7:15am

Friday scholar care is available for $10 (See Drop Zone for more details).
